"Happy," a moniker earned through his contagious enthusiasm and indomitable spirit, proudly serves as Commander Air Group (CAG) for Carrier Air Wing Four (CVW-4). With a distinguished career spanning over a decade, Happy’s journey through naval aviation has been marked by a relentless commitment to excellence. After serving as a line pilot in VFA-147 the Argonauts and VFA-81 the Sunliners, he moved to VFA-103 the Jolly Rogers, where he rose through the ranks, ultimately achieving the role of Executive Officer.
His first Commanding Officer position came when he was promoted to lead VFA-143 the Pukin' Dogs, where his leadership was solidified. He later took command of VFA-151 the Vigilantes, continuing his path of excellence. After leading VFA-151, the esteemed "Vigilantes," as Commanding Officer for years, Happy now focuses on guiding the entire air wing while still maintaining a strong connection with VFA-151.
