CVW-4 is a virtual naval air wing community within the Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) environment. We offer a dynamic and supportive community for aviation enthusiasts to hone their piloting skills, engage in story-based missions, and form lasting friendships.
CVW-4 provides an exciting mid-level experience with a good mix of practical and safe military aviation operations. We focus on camaraderie, respect, and a collective passion for military aviation, without the hardcore MilSim environment.
Membership
To join CVW-4, simply visit our website and follow the registration process. Once you complete the basic onboarding, you’ll be welcomed into our community.
No prior experience is necessary. We welcome pilots of all proficiency levels and offer comprehensive training programs to help you improve your skills.
CVW-4 does not charge any membership fees. Our community is open to all aviation enthusiasts who share our passion and respect our Code of Conduct.
Training and Missions
We offer a self-paced learning program covering multiple airframes, as well as fleet replacement squad (FRS) and weapons training. Our training is structured into six phases: Basic Onboard, FRS/Weapons Training, Advanced Onboard, Squadron Workups, Deployment, and Wing Standdown/Recruitment.
CVW-4 hosts a variety of missions, including stand-alone missions and story-based immersive campaigns with Dynamic Persistence. Our missions are designed to be challenging, engaging, and enjoyable for all members.
Community and Conduct
Our Code of Conduct emphasizes respect, kindness, and positive engagement. Key rules include no self-promotion or advertisements, no sharing of personal information, no hate speech or harmful language, and no discussions on political or religious topics.
We expect all members to use common sense and best judgment. Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on the severity of the offense.
Technical and Support
To participate in CVW-4, you will need a computer capable of running Digital Combat Simulator (DCS), along with basic flight simulation equipment such as a joystick and throttle. Additional peripherals like VR headsets can enhance your experience but are not required.
